So, hello again to whomever reads this blog. Today, I just wanna share something silly to do. Je sais, je sais, I don't look like someone who'd do silly things, or am I? Well, that's for you to discover yourselves, who I actually am. Anyway, so, here's what you do....
Every time you enter your dorm room (this is for those who stay in the hostel like I currently am), preferably when your roommate isn't around, and make sure to shut the door closed, look at the mirror, and.... say cheese~ lol, no, I meant smile, even if it ain't a cheese-kind-of-smile. Erm, smile in any way you like, a neutral smile, a sad smile, a happy smile, a natural smile, a fake smile, a sarcastic smile, an evil smile, a confused smile, a bad-plan-in-your-mind smile, an I-know-what-you-did-last-holiday smile, a silly smile, a wide-to-the-ear smile, a trying-to-hide-a-smile smile or any other smile you can think of. Just smile at the mirror. Next, have a good laugh at yourselves for making those weird smiles. The thing is it helps you carry on with the day (for those who find each day hard to carry on, for those who had no problem carrying on with each days, smile as well, see how silly you are everyday walking around smiling lol).
Well, actually, there is no guarantee you could laugh at your own smile, sometimes, the smile just ain't funny. It's just normal, but that's okay. Based on the law of happy = smile, smiling 'might' make you happy. Notice the word might. I didn't say 'will'. Anyway, if you could laugh at the smile, it is good. If it makes you feel better, it is good. But what if instead, it makes you feel unable to hold 'it' back? Some of us has been going through life holding back all sort of emotion, all sort of problems surround us but we try to hold back from breaking down. Well, looking at the mirror and smile, might sometime, sometime, just push our hands away and let all that we have been holding for so long to break free. That is the moment we break down. Tears come flowing out uncontrollably. Well, don't worry, after done breaking down, stand back up, look at the mirror again, notice the red eyes you have now due to all those crying, and smile again and this time notice how devilish the smile looks like with such red eyes. Breaking down is not a sign of weakness, it a sign of strength. When we hold on for too long, we might just break down, it is natural. But after breaking down, just smile and continue on with what we were doing, that's how to go through life.
Ahh, yea, for those whose roommates never seem to ever leave the room.... curse you! we need some silly time here. Nah just joking :p Don't curse your roommates, they might have their own hardship that you don't know. Anyway, find some other place with mirrors and smile, well, this is more risky actually as the room is the most private place. Anyway, you could try to do that with your roommate is around, (lol) but they might think that you are out of your mind or something. Even worse, smile, then break down, then smile again, they will freak out. 'Are you okay? Do you need some counseling? Need a doctor?' lol
Anyway, the take home message is, no matter how hard life is, it has to go on. Just get a time to have a good laugh or maybe just a smile, and it's okay to break down as long as life continues. And last but not least, sorry for the meaningless post. I'm kinda bored, so just sharing some secrets to living a life where things are hectic.
